Our key aim is to make the process enjoyable and rewarding, involving you in every step of the restoration journey.
Whether an avid collector or a first-time enthusiast, a complete nut-and-bolt classic car or motorcycle restoration can be a daunting prospect. To make this process easier for you to manage and enjoy, we break it down into smaller steps which are organised into a logical order, allowing you to have total control of the project’s quality of work and cost.
Each step will be discussed with you in detail, and no work will take place without your approval. All work will be invoiced at regular intervals according to an agreed schedule.
As work is carried out on your car, we will send you daily photo updates to make sure you are always connected to the progress being made.
Inspection & Stripdown
The first step of every project is to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and create a detailed list of all work needed.
Once we have agreed on a plan of action, we will strip the car or motorcycle and have all parts assessed for repair or replacement.
Bodywork
Once the car or motorcycle has been stripped, the bodywork, tank, frame or chassis can be blasted of rust and paint. This will usually reveal the level of bodywork needed.
It will then be ready for any welding repairs or modifications. Repair panels will be sourced or fabricated where necessary.
Engine
With the engine out, we can strip it down to the block and send off any parts that need machining, such as cylinder head skimming or cylinder barrel rebores . Once all parts have been returned, it will be meticulously rebuilt to the highest standard.
Mechanicals & Electrics
During the restoration process there will be opportunities to discuss whether parts can be reconditioned, replaced or upgraded for more modern solutions.
You may want to improve the braking or ignition system, or it may be important to keep it as original as possible.
Interior & Upholstery
All interior parts will be assessed for condition and replaced or reconditioned where necessary.
Seats and other trim can be sent off to be reupholstered in new or original style material.
Paintwork
With all repairs made to the metalwork finished, all parts will be sent off to our experience paint sprayers for filler, sanding and paint. We use experts in classic car and motorcycle paint techniques with a guaranteed high-quality result.
Final Build
With the paintwork complete and all parts sourced and rebuilt, it’s time for the final build. We work carefully and methodically to ensure everything fits and performs correctly. This is always the fun part of any project, seeing a customer’s vision become a reality.
